Alex Hooper is a surveyor specialising in party wall and neighbourly matters. He joined Harding in 2025, bringing more than ten years’ experience with leading firms across both residential and commercial projects. A graduate of the University of Plymouth (BSc Building Surveying), Alex is a member of the Pyramus & Thisbe Society and keeps abreast of best practice in this specialist field.
Alex advises building owners, adjoining owners and developers on the full scope of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996—from initial notices and schedules of condition to negotiating and agreeing awards. Drawing on strong construction knowledge, he quickly identifies buildability and risk issues and recommends proportionate protections. Known for his calm, impartial approach and clear communication, Alex aims to resolve matters promptly while safeguarding clients’ interests and maintaining positive neighbour relations. His meticulous attention to detail ensures compliant documentation and smooth project delivery.
